“गर्व आहे मला मी भारती य असल्याचा” हो असायलाच हवा. कारण मागील कित्येक वर्षात देशाने आर्थिक म्हणा किंवा तंत्रज्ञानात म्हणा उच्चस्तरीय अशी गरुडझेप घेतलेली आहे. पारंपरिक होणारी शेतीसुद्धा आता तंत्रज्ञानावर होऊ लागली आहे. दिवसेंगणिक शहरे स्मार्ट होऊ लागली आहेत. छोटे छोटे उद्योग ते मोठे उद्योग, तसेच कार्यालय, दवाखाने-इस्पितळात तंत्रज्ञानावर चालणारी यंत्रणा सेवेसाठी सज्ज झाली. एकीकडे शहरांतील होणारी ही प्रगती पाहता याची किंचित सुद्धा झळ खेड्या-पड्यापर्यंत, गावकुसापर्यंत, बाजारपेठापर्यंत पोहोचलेली नाही. आजही कित्येक खेडी या तंत्रज्ञानिक यंत्रणेविना दयनीय अवस्थेत ओस पडली आहेत.
उकिरड्यावर फिरणारी भटकी कुत्री, डोईवर हंडा-काखेत कळशी घेऊन घरची वाट चालणारी स्त्री आणि तिची वाट पाहत उंबरठ्यावर बसलेली वृद्ध जोडपी एवढीच माणसे खेड्यात वळवळताना दिसतात. मनी प्रश्न पडतो, का ही एवढी भीषण अवस्था. बराच विचारविनिमय करून एकच गोष्ट प्रकर्षाने जाणवली, ती म्हणजे आरोग्याच्या अपुऱ्या सेवा-सुविधा आणि रोजगाराच्या संधी. रोजगाराचा विचार करता कित्येक कुटुंबे आजही आपला उदरनिर्वाह शेतीवर चालवत आहेत. पण आरोग्य सेवा सुविधाचं काय? मोठं-मोठाली हॉस्पिटले बाहेरूनच चकाकताना दिसतात, आतून कुठे
छताला तर भिंतींना भगदाड पडलेली, खिडक्यांच्या पडद्याना मोठमोठी छिद्रे आणि रुग्णांच्या खाटा तुटून पडलेल्या नजरेस पडतात, अशाने रुग्णच काय डॉक्टर सुद्धा येण्याचे टाळतात. काही काही रुग्णांना उपचार मिळण्याऐवजी इथे यावर उपचार होणार नाहीत अशीच उत्तरे ऐकावयास मिळतात. आधुनिकतेचा विचार करता ही स्थिती बदलणे अपेक्षित आहे. कधी कधी जीवावर बेतनाऱ्या या आजारांच्या उपचारासाठी मैलो दूर शहरी भागातील दवाखान्यांचा आसरा घ्यावा लागतो. कीव येते आजही ही आरोग्य सेवांबद्दलची खालावलेली स्थिती पाहताना. हे कुठेतरी थांबलेच पाहिजे. तुम्ही आम्ही मिळून याचा जाब इथल्या प्रशासनाला विचारायलाच हवा आणि त्यावर वेळीच पर्यायी मार्ग काढायलाच हवा.
साथीच्या रोगांच्या काळात जाहिरातबाजी, बॅनरबाजी किंवा गर्दीच्या ठिकाणी रेल्वेस्थानकांवर लाऊड स्पीकर चा वावर करून रोगांबाबत घोषणाबाजी करून तिथल्या जनतेला शहरी भागात सतर्क करण्यात येते, हे करू नका- ते करू नका अशी वेळोवेळी काळजी घ्यावयास सांगतात. शहरी भागातील हेच चित्र ग्रामीण भागात खुप कमी पहावयास मिळते. शहरांत कधी इथे तर कधी तिथे विविध आरोग्य विषयक शिबिरांचे आयोजन करण्यात येते. ग्रामीण भागात हेच उलटे निदर्शनात येते. केवढी ही खंत. आज संपुर्ण जगावर अधिराज्य गाजवणाऱ्या, संपुर्ण जगाला वेठीस धरणाऱ्या महाभयंकर कोरोना व्हायरस आजाराची फुसटशी माहिती देखील ग्रामीण भागात लोकांच्या कानावर पडलेली नसेल, हे आपले दुर्दैव म्हणावे लागेल. आता गरज आहे ती झोपेचे सोंग घेऊन झोपलेल्या ढोंगी प्रशासनाला जागे करून त्यांना त्यांच्या कर्माची आणि आरोग्य सेवासुविधा अभावी ग्रासलेल्या जनतेची दखल घेण्यास भाग पाडण्याची. आणि हे तेव्हाच शक्य होईल जेव्हा तुम्ही आम्ही सारे एकत्र येऊन अविरत लढा देऊ….
